Mr. Ramage invites executors, administrators, trustees, bank and trust officers, insurance companies, and their counsel, to contact him for assistance in:

(1) locating and documenting missing and unknown heirs of estates arising in PA, NJ, NY & DE;

(2) preparing due diligence affidavits and family history charts for court use;

(3) reviewing, consulting and opining about the accuracy and legality of other "heir finders and locators" conclusions;

(4) testifying as an expert witness in court hearings relating to the estate or trust's missing and unknown heirs (Mr. Ramage has been qualified as an expert in this field);

(5) determining the heirs, distributees or owners who must be given notice of estate administration or probate; and

(6) related genealogical services.

MISSION STATEMENT:

I follow the Genealogical Proof Standard ("GPS") in conducting my genealogical research and writing.  The GPS requires (1) a reasonably exhaustive search, (2) complete, accurate source citations for data used, (3) analysis and correlation of the data to assess the quality of the evidence, (4) resolving evidentiary conflicts, and (5) a soundly reasoned, coherently written conclusion.  However, any statement about ancestors is not absolute or everlasting.  “When new evidence surfaces or flaws in conclusions are found, we re-examine the statement to determine if it remains valid.”  The BCG Genealogical Standards Manual (Washington, D.C.: Board for Certification of Genealogists, 2000), 1-2.

As stated in the Genealogist’s Code that I abide by:  “If other feasible avenues are available, I will suggest them; but I will not misrepresent the possibilities of additional research.”  Ibid. at 30.  This means that I will not suggest research just to generate fees; there must be a reasonable likelihood of developing new, relevant genealogical data.
